Welcome to my website

Welcome to my website. I shall be trying to show how I went from a very unfit and overweight middle aged man to a fit, healthy person who is interested in keeping fit with my friends and family. I shall show how I lost 5 stone in weight and improved my fitness from a VO2 max of 35 to a VO2 max of 53 (bit technical but this is explained elsewhere on the site). There shall be some technical content a lot of blogging and hopefully some interesting photos and stories. I am not a professional writer or story teller, I am a normal bloke with a good family and really great mates. I am lucky in that I live on the Cornish coast and am surrounded by wonderful scenery and lots of opportunities to involve myself in 'the great outdoors'

Visitor's notice

For anyone showing an interest in this website I have to say that I am not selling anything, it is here for people to look at and to read and share my story and parts of my life. There will be no political content although I know that politics touches every part of our world. This is my story and as such these are my views and the way I percieve life and the world in general.

Information and eventually some photos from our Ultra Marathon on Hadrians Wall can be found in the Challenges section of the site. Have a good read and see what it takes (and what it does to your body) to travel 70 miles in under 19 hours!

There are a couple of new sections added to the website and some more photos of Mick and myself out training for the Hadrians Wall challenge. The photos have been taken on the North Cornwall Coast near Porth Joke (Polly Joke as the locals call it). Have a look and leave comments if you want.

Today is the launch of this website, it will have no big ceremony or even a famous person to set it all off. I am hoping that you will find some interesting items that can catch your attention for a minute or two. Obviously it goes without saying that at the moment this is very much a 'work in progress' I hope to have a fully functioning site up and running in the very near future.
